Privacy policy
Controller: OSA Electronics Company SL, NIF B04950838, Monalu 51 st. Local. Contact: info@osaelectronics.com.
Data we process: the e-mail and name you type when requesting a trial, a pack or recovering codes, the codes assigned to you and the date. When a code is activated, OSA Lab may send its number and the program version (no personal or measurement data). Server logs keep the IP address for at most 24 hours to prevent abuse.
Downloads and installations: for each download we store the date, version, language, referring site and the country derived from the IP at that moment (the IP is not stored). For visits to the site we only count page views per day, page, referring site, country and language, without cookies or IP. If you ask us to e-mail you the download link, we use your e-mail only to send it and do not store it. Each OSA Lab installation generates a random identifier that it sends, with the version, language and operating system, when checking for updates or the list of revoked codes; if you activate a code in your name, that installation is associated with your e-mail. You can turn these connections off in Help → About → Updates. Country lookup uses the IP to Country Lite database by DB-IP.
Support: if you write to us, we store your e-mail, name, the conversation and, if you attach it from the program, its log, in order to handle your request. They are deleted when you ask or when your account is removed.
Purpose: sending you the codes, letting you recover them, informing you of the outcome of your requests, keeping track of issued and revoked codes, handling purchases and invoices, and providing the Team cloud if you use it. We do not send advertising or share the data with third parties (except Stripe for payments, as explained below).
Legal basis: your consent when submitting the form, the performance of the contract or service you request and, for purchase records, compliance with tax and commercial legal obligations (GDPR art. 6.1.a, 6.1.b and 6.1.c).
Purchases: if you buy a module we store your e-mail, name, country, what you bought, the amount and the code. Payment is handled by Stripe Payments Europe (processor), which receives the payment and billing details; we never see or store your card details. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and commercial law require.
Team cloud: if you connect OSA Lab to the Team cloud we store each member's e-mail, each PC's name, the latest bench status it sends (instruments, readings, monitoring) and the uploaded reports, only to show them to your team. The team owner can delete reports and remove members and PCs; once removed, no more data is sent.
Retention: while the code is active and, afterwards, as long as needed to handle possible liabilities. You can request erasure at any time. Purchase records are kept for as long as the law requires (6 years in Spain). In the Team cloud, each bench status is replaced with every update and reports are kept until the team deletes them, or stops having a licence and asks for deletion.
Where: on a server owned by OSA Electronics. E-mail is sent from our own mail server.
Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, by writing to info@osaelectronics.com. You can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or your local authority.
The OSA Lab program works offline. It only connects to this server to check for updates, download the list of revoked codes, register an activation and, if you ask, request trials, recover codes or send a support request. Your measurements and files do not leave your computer, unless you connect that PC to the Team cloud: then the bench status and PDF reports are sent (the latter can be switched off).
